American Monster: Love and politics in an age of corruption. Enjoy a multicultural poetry reading. Featured Writers of the event are Christian Nowlin, a 2018 Transformative Teaching Artist Award recipient, writer, producer and videographer; Jose Padua, author of A Short History of MonstersNikki Allen, a lover and a writer – scribbling because she must with nearly 20 years of stages in her gut; and Michael Simms, active in politics and poetry for over 40 years as a writer, teacher, editor, and community activist.
