It is a home for diverse voices from around the globe – a place where Pittsburgh meets the world and the world meets Pittsburgh. Free Association Reading Series Presented by City of Asylum
Sunday, February 7 from 5:00 to 6:00 pm
Enjoy an intimate evening of live readings with exceptional Pittsburgh writers co-curated by Pat Hart and Marc Nieson of the Free Association Reading Series. Featured writers of the evening are: Leah Brennan who teaches World Literature and Poetics of Social Justice at The Ellis School; Nicole Lourette, who received her MFA in Creative Writing from Chatham University in 2015;  Roberto Carlos Garcia who is a poet, storyteller, and essayist; and Jesse Welch who is a poet, father, and untalented juggler. Founded in May of 2016, Free Association Reading Series is for established and emerging Pittsburgh writers of prose, poetry, and non-fiction.
