Out of the Archives: Pittsburgh Revealed 2020
Thursday, December 17 from 7:00 to 8:30 pm
Out of the Archives: Pittsburgh Revealed is a unique selection of moving images created in or about the Pittsburgh region from the 1930s through the 1990s. This program has been carefully assembled to showcase overlooked films and videos, and illuminate forgotten people and landscapes of the Pittsburgh region. Home movie contributors will join curators Emily Davis and Steven Haines in a live talk-back following the screening. This celebration of the moving image is intended to honor the labor of our region’s archivists (professional and amateur), recognize the makers of otherwise overlooked works, and prompt the viewer to reconsider the very notion of the archive and what is worth saving.
