Some very special volunteers from the Western Pennsylvania Humane Society are going to learn firsthand what it’s like to be a resident in the shelter. At the 2nd Annual Shelter Pet Sleepover, these dedicated two-leggers will live alongside the four-leggers for 48 hours. These folks will stay with the dogs, cats, or bunnies, living on their schedules, in an effort to raise awareness about the importance of supporting these temporary residents, and raise funds as well.
To kickoff the sleepover festivities, the Western Pennsylvania Humane Society will be having a Pajama Party on Saturday, December 13 from 5:00 until 8:00 pm, and you are invited! Slip into your favorite comfy pajamas, and come on down to the North Shore shelter for a great family-friendly evening. You can meet some of the special fuzzy shelter residents and volunteers from 5:00 until 7:00 pm and enjoy a viewing of Hotel for Dogs (rated PG) and a pizza party from 6:00 until 8:00 pm.
The Pajama Party is a free event but the shelter pets would love if you would bring them a special gift! This is a people only event, but please feel free to bring your favorite stuffed animal.
