Individuals looking to perfect their wildlife photography skills can practice their techniques at the National Aviary during Tropical Paradise Photo Safari. Participants receive exclusive access to the National Aviary’s birds at a time of day when they are especially active, before the doors open to the public, and when many shyer species are more viewable. National Aviary trainers will use their expertise to coax seldom-seen birds out from their hiding places, giving participants multiple opportunities for capturing photos of a wide range of birds.
New this year, in addition to time in the exhibits, participants will also have opportunities to photograph birds up-close, outside of the exhibits and get tips for great photos at the Aviary.
Tropical Paradise Photo Safari will be held at the National Aviary on Saturday, February 21, from 9:00 am until 11:00 am. Preregistration is required and space is limited. Call 412-258-9439 to register.
