Last Friday, we reported that the City of Pittsburgh’s Bureau of Building Inspection (BBI) was set to go before the Historic Review Commission (HRC) on July 2 for permission to demolish the vacant building at 1244 Buena Vista Street. The item was subsequently pulled from the HRC meeting agenda.
We’ll keep you updated on the status of the property via Facebook, Twitter, and Weekend Update.
What is the status of this property?
The latest information we have is that the owner is working to save the building. As is customary in these situations, the Bureau of Building Inspection will give an owner the opportunity to address a condemnation if they express a willingness to do so. We will you apprised of any new developments.
This post was almost 9 years ago and the building still sits vacant with the bricks falling to the street. Do you have any idea who I should talk to in order to get ownership and restore this building?
