Organized by Just Ducky Tours, the fundraiser is in honor of Sullivan Rossmiller, a courageous four-year-old boy living with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) and a member of the Just Ducky Tours’ family.

World Premiere Set for Jazz Poetry Concert This Weekend

The audience at tomorrow night’s Jazz Poetry Concert in Allegheny Commons Park is in for a special treat – a world premiere inspired by North Side neighbors. On Saturday evening, musician and composer Oliver Lake and poet TJ Dema will debut “Stoop is a Verb.” Nearly all the words and phrases came directly from people who live in Allegheny City Central and other nearby neighborhoods.

10 Years and Growing: City of Asylum’s Jazz Poetry Concert

City of Asylum Pittsburgh (COAP) is proud to host the 10^th annual Jazz Poetry Concert on Saturday, September 6, 2014 from 7:45 until 9:45 pm. The annual North Side event will take place, rain or shine – under a tent in Allegheny Commons Park near the National Aviary.

URA and City of Asylum Remain Committed to Alphabet City in the Masonic Building

Allegheny City Development Group will no longer be the developer of the Masonic Building in the Garden Theater Block. The URA has terminated the rights of the developer and is working with City of Asylum Pittsburgh on options to keep the project moving forward.

On a beautiful summer Sunday evening, neighbors and friends gathered at the corner of Resaca Place and Filson Alley for the unveiling of Glenn Olcerst’s “First Historic District.” The exterior mural is the latest in a series of efforts by the Allegheny City Central resident designed to encourage others to create art to share with the community.

RFP to Stabilize and Develop 1423 Boyle Street

1423 Boyle Street has been condemned for more than seven years. ACCA has worked to try to prevent the demolition of this interior rowhouse but we are almost out of time. ACCA is issuing an RFP/RFQ in an attempt to find a partner to save this building from demolition and address the issues that are causing damage to neighboring property owners.
