The audience at tomorrow night’s Jazz Poetry Concert in Allegheny Commons Park is in for a special treat – a world premiere inspired by North Side neighbors. On Saturday evening, musician and composer Oliver Lake and poet TJ Dema will debut “Stoop is a Verb.” Nearly all the words and phrases came directly from people who live in Allegheny City Central and other nearby neighborhoods.

1423 Boyle Street has been condemned for more than seven years. ACCA has worked to try to prevent the demolition of this interior rowhouse but we are almost out of time. ACCA is issuing an RFP/RFQ in an attempt to find a partner to save this building from demolition and address the issues that are causing damage to neighboring property owners.
